Célula del Movimiento de Esperanza
The Hope Movement is not an organization, or a one man show. It is a movement of destined individuals and organizations united as one, dedicating our lives to the rescue and care of children and adults living in desperate need, reaching out to those who are longing for love. A new day has arrived and the Hope Movement is the formation of a generation of transformation, for The Hope Movement is you. This is your opportunity to change your life, and transform the world.
Impoverished souls, in impoverished conditions. More slavery today than in all of history. Wars, floods, street children, addictions, sadness consumes life. But we are called to be the hands of God. It is time for the people of God to rise up from their comfort zone, united as one to transform their world.
A Hope Movement Chapter is a group of students, youth groups, and church members concerned about issues of injustice who desire to work alongside the Hope Movement and be agents of change, both in their own communities and in the Hope Movement’s work globally.
-
Raise their voices on behalf of victims of injustice through prayer and advocacy.
-
Reach out to people in your community and around the world to bring hope, inspiration, unite, and transform cities into havens of hope.
-
Raise awareness in their school/ or church and in their communities of the reality of oppression in our world.
-
Raise support to enable the Hope Movement to rescue more victims of oppression.
The most developed Hope Movement Chapters are involved in all four categories. However, Hope Movement Chapters come in a variety of shapes and sizes, as the people at each college, youth group, or church are uniquely suited to do different things. Some groups consist of two people who meet together to pray about injustice, while others are large, active clubs, while others are parts of other groups or ministries.
Whatever your group looks like, know that showing up on behalf of the victims of abuse and oppression is the most important step you can take. And by taking that first step, know that you have already made a major difference.
Who can start a Hope Movement Chapter?
The Hope Movement’s Chapters consist of church congregations, church youth groups, undergraduate students on all types of colleges and universities, high schools, law and graduate schools, and seminaries.
One of the greatest hindrances to the work for justice is fear – fear of discomfort, fear of having to step out of our comfort zones, fear of stepping out the current responsibilities that take up our time and energy (see Luke 9:57-62). God calls us to a life of courage, adventure and abandon to His will in our lives. As students and church members, a whole realm of possibilities is before you. You can dream big with God and have the freedom to serve Him with reckless abandon.
The Hope Movement firmly believes that you represent an incredible hope for the future, but also that you have the power now to “preach good news to the poor…to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners” (Isaiah 61:1-3). Our hope is that you will start on this journey today, and that you will let God use you to call others to the work as well.
How to Launch a Chapter
Starting a Hope Movement Chapter is easy! With even a small number of people from your church, school, or youth group you can follow these steps and quickly be on the road to launching your own chapter:
Request a Campus Chapter Toolkit

Pray about the vision and program - Recruit a small group of church members, students, faculty and staff members to gather together to pray about this effort and to establish the vision, focus and leadership of the chapter based on God’s leading.
Structure the Chapter - Determine the chapter leader, leadership structure and faculty advisor.
Register on your campus or church - Take the necessary steps to officially register your Hope Movement Chapter as a campus club/organization at your school or as a ministry in your church.
